Specialising in Jazz, Latin American and Blues the Ladywood Community School of Music can provide quality musical tuition for Adults and Children of all ages and abilities.

At the Ladywood Community School of Music we currently offer classes on the Saxophone, Trumpet, Trombone, Piano, Guitar and Drums.

We have also just started Violin classes, and the Ladywood Community Choir will be starting soon (see Community Music Evening below).

We can teach other instruments subject to interest.

Classes are generally held between 5 and 7 on Thursday evenings, but other times may well be possible. Prices range from £2.00 to £5.00 per lesson, subject to age, status and whether or not you live in Ladywood.

 

Community Music Evening

Drumming Workshop - 5pm to 7pm, all ages and abilities welcome (£2.00)

Concert: 7.30pm to 9.30pm
Featuring performances by Ladywood Community Drum Group performing work composed and rehearsed earlier in the evening, and performances by students of the Ladywood Community School of Music.

Voices of Ugima - reggae for a better world

Vox Populi - Sheldon Community Choir singing world music and selections from their brand new material.

Entrance to Concert £1.50 (£1.00 concs)

You will be able to sign up as a founder member of the Ladywood Community Choir or for any of the other classes (see above)
